| Because they are so expensive that it does not make sense to buy either of them and then modify or play with the car. I am a hotrodder/speedjunkie and I just am not wealthy enough to be able to justify spending $70k-$100k on a car and then immediately take it apart. On top of that, in my opinion, the GTR is too heavy and too complicated. If I had the money and had to choose, I would probably choose the Vette because it seems simpler and is so much lighter. (500lbs) For folks who race or use their cars, simple is good. Of course, some folks by and modify and put them in the garage; I got no use for that. With regards to the wealth issue, I certainly hope nobody will buy either of these cars and finance them. If you buy either of these cars you need to be able to pay for a very significant portion with cash.
